Last week:
We're on our way to the "frog pond," which, to us, is a nearby lotus field where we found tons of frogs last Spring. I told Second Child we weren't exactly likely to see frogs this time of year, but he didn't care. He figured we'd find something, so he brought along his bug boxes.
Second Child found this little alleyway interesting.
Sheesh, the stuff some people leave lying around!
I like old boxes.
The kids call this "the witch's house," because it's abandoned. Why all the barbed wire, we want to know?!
Almost there...I had to capture these yellow flowers.
Well, no frogs--just some muck that I didn't photograph--but on the way back, First Child wanted me to see these vivid Fall leaves. Second Child was disappointed to return with empty bug boxes, but it was still a lovely walk!
